A polished surface of overlapping circles in a delicate lace pattern
Inspired by a beautiful mosaic floor made from thousands of tiny cubes of Botticino marble.
On a trip to Lombardy, not far from lake Garda, I came across a beautiful mosaic floor made from thousands of tiny cubes of Botticino marble. The overlapping circles had been picked out in a contrasting light grey and the way it reflected the sunlight off the floor was truly magical. Steperle is my reimagining of this beautiful, aged mosaic floor as a modern wall surface created with our superfine, marble stucco polished plaster and pearlescent wax.
