NUANCED VISUAL TEXTURE

Armourcoat’s Limewash luxury paint finish brings nuanced visual texture to a private residential property located in the historic village of Mayfield, East Sussex, where it is used across walls within an expansive sitting room space. The soft matte surface finish and lightly textured aesthetic infuses the living area with distinct tonal interest, helping to create a soothing, restful ambience at the characterful family home.

Specified in Color 005 Velvet Cloud, a versatile grey-beige hue which establishes a gentle neutral-toned backdrop within the space whilst highlighting a number of original architectural features which date from when the property was built in the 1920s – including the fireplace, window frames, and natural wood floorboards, which have been recently whitewashed to tie in with the new scheme.

MULTI TONAL WALL COLOUR

With an abundance of natural light, the subtle surface patternation embodied in the lime wash application delivers a gentle infusion of multi-tonal color and visual interest to the charming village property, infusing a naturally bright ambience enhanced by its subtle warm undertones. Made using natural mineral pigments, the soft neutral tone applied delivers the cooler, calmer appearance of grey with the warming characteristics of beige, bringing a graceful sense of light to the peaceful space.

The characteristic tonal variation inherent across the surface of Armourcoat Limewash is achieved at the application stage where thin even coats are applied with natural bristle brushes, worked in a crosshatch pattern across small sections – delivering a relaxed yet refined character and ensuring a warm and welcoming, inviting interior aesthetic.

HIGHLY SUSTAINABLE LUXURY PAINT FINISH

Armourcoat Limewash is a highly sustainable luxury paint finish which enables architects and designers to achieve top-level environmental and health accreditations without sacrificing aesthetics. Manufactured in the UK using locally sourced raw materials, Limewash is made using slaked lime, Kaolin clay, water and mineral pigment, with the addition of natural plant additives to help deliver a more durable, less-chalky surface finish compared to traditional lime wash.

Formulated and produced with minimal environmental and health impact, Armourcoat Limewash is the only lime wash paint finish on the market to deliver both Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) and Health Product Declaration (HPD) documentation – fully detailing the paint’s minimal environmental and health impact data and guaranteeing suitability for architectural projects targeting BREEAM or LEED certification.

CAPTIVATING COLOUR PALETTE

A captivating color palette of 45 mineral tones enables the creation of timeless, elegant interiors, comprising contemporary neutral tones to deeper, natural hues. Colors are achieved by adding natural, alkali-resistant mineral pigments dictated by what the earth has to offer, each with their own unique aesthetic. In keeping with the historical tradition of lime wash paint, Armourcoat’s skilled applicators use natural bristle brushes to apply the finish, which is suitable for application across various architectural substrates.
