Sustainable material showcase at Dubai Design Week, 2024
Earlier this month we joined many other other acclaimed and emerging designers, brands, and creative leaders at the largest design fair in the Middle East – Dubai Design Week – where we showcased our sustainable luxury finishes across two parts of the show.
An exclusive collaboration with leading Milan-based design agency Isola Design saw Armourcoat’s sustainable luxury finishes applied across the structural elements of Isola’s collective exhibition stand at Downtown Design Dubai. This unique stand was designed to showcase the work of emerging designers, bridging tradition and innovation. Selected finishes applied to wall surfaces here included Limewash – Decorative Paint, Koncrete Honed – Polished Plaster, and bespoke finish Clay Lime Plaster – forming a suitably elegant backdrop to the cutting edge craftsmanship on display.
Elsewhere, we presented a bespoke Clay Lime Plaster finish on a dedicated stand at ‘Design Next’, a new showcase exhibition at Dubai Design Week which aims to inspire a fresh mindset in sustainable design and promote environmentally positive changes across the world of modern craft. Here, we displayed a rammed earth style surface across a curved feature wall using a coarse textured Clay Lime Plaster in a soft tonal mix of pale earth tones.
Conceived to highlight the sustainable natural beauty of our Clay Lime Plaster finish, our dedicated stand provided the perfect showcase for the high-performance surface material. Made in the UK using natural mineral materials, inc. 75% recycled content, Armourcoat Clay Lime Plaster offers a seamless, hand-applied finish which has minimal environmental and health impact. Consciously crafted for architectural interiors, its organic rugged texture adds natural texture and depth to surfaces – ensuring an alluring natural aesthetic.
