It was over thirty years ago that I first applied gold leaf over a textured plaster surface to create the incredible antiqued gold walls for Peter Marino at the Donna Karan flagship stores in London and New York. Having created the Matese finish, I felt the addition of gold leaf would work beautifully and add an even greater sense of luxury.
