Luxurious Ambience with Perlata at Wakefields

Perlata Decorative Paint adds a subtle pearlescent quality to Wakefields in Horsham, perfectly complementing the fine gemstones, jewellery, and watches showcased in the Sussex store.

With a family legacy spanning over 100 years and four generations, Wakefields is renowned for its personalised service alongside prestigious jewellery and iconic watch brands. As part of the expansion of its Rolex showroom, Wakefields embarked on a complete store redesign to elevate the customer experience and create a luxurious boutique atmosphere, while preserving the store’s warmth and charm.

Retail design consultant Innovare Design infused high-end design details into the space, incorporating discreet personal consultation rooms. Decorative Paint in the Perlata finish, applied in neutral shades, was key to achieving the desired ambience. The subtle shimmer created by the pearlescent pigments enhances the contemporary luxury of the store without overwhelming the accent features. The transformation of light within the space highlights the stunning jewellery and watches, enriching the overall experience.

Pearlescent finish offers versatility and luminosity

Perlata is an advanced Decorative Paint system offered in 96 colours, combining aesthetic appeal with practical functionality. Made from a matte basecoat and multiple pearlescent topcoat layers, Perlata creates a striking, luminous finish while also addressing practical needs.

Its unique formulation prevents the growth of mould, mildew, and bacteria, making it ideal for a variety of internal environments, including bathrooms and swimming pools. With low VOC emissions, Perlata is both stain-resistant and easy to maintain, easily scrubbed or wiped clean, ensuring beauty and durability across diverse spaces.

We explored different finishes that would exude a contemporary, luxury feel that would sit comfortably alongside the Wakefields offer. It needed to enhance, and add to, the layering of details of the scheme rather than overpower them.
