Forterro HQ
Armourcoat Clay Lime Plaster with debossed logo detail brings a unique, tactile aesthetic to new London workplace.
Industrial software business Forterro partnered with Farringdon-based studio HOP to create their new HQ located in London’s Soho district – crafting a contemporary, multi-functional workplace that blends style and practicality.
Drawing inspiration from the hospitality industry, Forterro’s HQ presents a sophisticated environment designed for working, collaborating, and socialising – using Armourcoat’s honed Clay Lime Plaster finish as part of a contemporary mix of warm tones and high-end finishes.
Located at 25 Golden Square, Armourcoat’s Clay Lime Plaster contributes to an inviting ambience within the main reception and boardroom – with both spaces featuring Forterro brand logo details expertly debossed into the surface finish, achieved by Armourcoat’s skilled creative team.
Fusion of contemporary design & traditional craftsmanship
The incorporation of company branding ensures bespoke, creative design features throughout the workspace, realising the original design vision and guaranteeing originality. This fusion of contemporary design and traditional craftsmanship presents a unique, tactile aesthetic that balances material heritage and design innovation – delivering a welcoming atmosphere for staff and clients who use the space.
Through a combination of CNC machining, hand crafting, and casting, any form of logo, pattern, or feature designs are achievable across Armourcoat plaster finishes – ensuring precise visual impact. From highly detailed, intricate patterns through to large scale graphic logos, outline shapes can be set within the surface and seamlessly finished in a material of the designer’s choice. This method ensures that graphic details appear to have been carved deep into the wall itself; with the end-result conveying a solidarity and conviction in line with the original design intent.
Raw simplicity & subtle texture
Armourcoat’s honed Clay Lime Plaster finish introduces a raw simplicity and subtle texture to the interior scheme, conveying a calm yet characterful ambience. A naturally sustainable material, Clay Lime Plaster embodies a timeless elegance that effortlessly merges the beauty of historic material tradition with contemporary design sensibilities. Used at Forterro HQ in Colour 004: Portland – a versatile, soft grey neutral which instils a soothing, serene ambience.
Armourcoat Clay Lime Plaster is consciously crafted for architectural interiors, offering a seamless, hand-applied finish made with minimal environmental and health impact. Made in the UK using raw natural materials including 75% recycled content, the final finish is durable, breathable, biodegradable, with zero solvents and VOCs.
A naturally sustainable, low-embodied carbon surface
The natural earthy surface texture is formed by the raw ingredients that make up its formula. Consisting of unfired clay, limestone, recycled crushed marble and natural pigments; creating a high-performance wall finish with natural longevity. Once applied, the lime actively absorbs carbon dioxide from the atmosphere whilst curing; ensuring significantly lower global warming potential in comparison to many other wall finishes – and delivering a naturally sustainable, ultra-low embodied carbon surface.
Armourcoat Clay Lime Plaster is supplied with both Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) and Health Product Declaration (HPD) documentation, fully detailing the finish’s minimal environmental and health impact data. The finish achieves Indoor Air Comfort Gold certification; with a naturally high alkalinity delivering antimicrobial properties, making it highly resistant to bacteria and mould.
